You live in a strange world that is influenced by, and influences, your actions, just as your brain influences your limbs and vice-versa.  We might wonder, then, whether "you" and "the world" are, in fact, one and the same.  This is true in the game as well.

An experimental platformer made in 48 hours for the 2021 GMTK Game Jam, in which the position of platforms is determined by the position of the character.  Very loosely inspired by the idea that the "self" and the external world might not be as easily separable as we normally assume.  In other words, the game world and the player character (and the real world and the real player) are inextricably "joined together" into a single entity.

Controls

  • ←/→ or a/d to move.
  • ↑/w/[space]/[shift] to jump.

Objective

Get to the gate to move to the next level.  There are 10 levels in total.

For an extra challenge, try to rescue all three cats.

Awesome! Any chance of a downloadable version? :)

Good, original platformer. Bug made me jump when I collided with the corners of a platform. Controls feel too sensitive at times. Got both cats.

I love the mechanic, its a fun platformer and the ability to move platforms around gives it some puzzle elements. its seemed like some of the time the platforms would change direction mid jump, which seems a bit mean but hey, still played all the way through. Love the art too

Really cool idea, but tough as nails. I think this game could really work with slightly slower movement and an indicator which dimension the blocks are tied to relative to the player. Good job!

Looks nice, lovely animations and design! Level design and concept are really smart and intriguing as well. I only wish for some platformer "tricks" to make it "feel" better like super mario! Aka don't kill me when I touch the side of spikes. :(

Cool Fits the theme
